Purpose of Department: | The Center for Student Success supports a variety of student-centered goals outlined in WPU’s strategic plan and commits to fostering an inclusive environment to support the success of all students. The Center includes various functional areas including Tutoring, Academic Support Services, Academic and Career Advising, and First Year Experience & Retention |
Summary of Position: | Reporting to the Dean of Student Success, the Academic Support Services Coordinator facilitates academic support services for all students including managing tutorial services, facilitating support programs for academically at-risk students, and providing academic coaching and other support as appropriate for a variety of student populations. The Coordinator plays a pivotal role in campus retention efforts and works closely with other areas within the Center for Student Success (Advising, Retention, and First Year Experience) to serve as a resource to all students. |
Essential duties and responsibilities: |

Minimum Qualifications: | Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, English or related field; skills with academic technology; strong verbal and written communication skills; and ability to demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment. |
Preferred Qualifications: | Two years of experience in academic support services, teaching undergraduate students Experience supervising a team of undergraduate student employees |
