Department: Sciences and Mathematics
Purpose of Department:
The Department of Sciences and Mathematics is dedicated to providing a quality education in order to prepare students for their chosen careers or post-graduate studies.
Summary of Position:
William Peace University seeks to hire an adjunct faculty member with expertise in the field of Chemistry to begin Spring 2024. The successful candidates should have knowledge of and experience in the Chemistry discipline, as well as experience with and the ability to use instructional technologies to support classroom activities.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
The candidate will teach a part-time credit load which includes one lab in Chemistry. The labs will be held Wed from 1:40-3:30 or Thursday from 1:45-3:35.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • M.S. Chemistry
  • Experience teaching at the collegiate or university level
  • Due to lab requirements, candidates should be able to stand for 2-3 hours and to move and manipulate heavy objects and equipment (up to 30 lbs); applicant should be comfortable handling chemicals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. Chemistry
Experience teaching at the collegiate or university level
