The Role
The Director of Strategy, Site Solutions U.S. requires a deep understanding of how clinical research sites contribute to the clinical trial process via personal experience working within cross-functional teams at U.S. research sites. Additionally, it requires experience with site-facing technologies supporting various clinical research site operations.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of Life Sciences industry and technology A-players, who, together, are bringing the next generation of clinical development and R&D applications to the life sciences industry. Your role will focus on how to better enable clinical research sites as a key contributor to the larger life sciences ecosystem. Primary responsibilities include partnering closely with Sales to identify and execute key deals and for managing key client projects and relationships. You will be responsible for ensuring Veeva understands the site market, influences and shapes it, for our approach to capturing it, for understanding how the site market evolves, and for continually educating the broader organization on the site market in a structured way. You will maintain a public presence for the business at industry events and conferences, ensure the continued rapid growth of our market share, and work with the site marketing team to prepare marketing collateral and externally facing messaging.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with our sales and marketing teams to grow and sustain the customer base for SiteVault in the U.S.
  • Ensure the success of several key customer projects each year
  • Develop a holistic approach to enabling academic research organizations on multiple Veeva clinical applications
  • Support internal Veeva teams including Marketing, Services, Customer Success, and Product in order to drive SiteVault scale-up and adoption
  • Work with the rest of the Strategy team and the Product Management team to ensure the SiteVault product strategy is in line with the needs of the market

Requirements

  • 5+ years working within clinical research sites with proven leadership skills
  • Current knowledge of clinical research site industry trends
  • Experience with site operations including study feasibility and startup, regulatory, patient recruitment, data management, and study protocol execution
  • Ability to travel for customer meetings and presentations

Nice to Have

  • Work experience supporting clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas
  • Knowledge of multicenter clinical trial oversight including study design, regulatory submissions, clinical data management, and monitoring practices
  • Experience with selecting and implementing cloud-based technology at a clinical research site
  • Deep understanding of the financial needs and practices of clinical research sites
