• 10 week internship working one on one with a UNC Physician
• Paid: 60% of time: working on Quality improvement and measured metrics for a busy primary care office; this includes accessing electronic medical record, updating information on patient care, contact patients for chart review and follow-up.
• Unpaid/Volunteer: 40% of time: shadowing a busy internist in an outpatient office setting giving you a perspective of outpatient internal medicine and time allotted for working on a manuscript of your experience and creating a report of the summer experience.
• Strongly Preferred: Applicant be enrolled in graduate or under graduate program. Interested in pursuing a health care career. Enrolled in Covenant program.

Summary:
Serves in a support capacity to assist managers and staff with operational efforts in a variety of units.

Responsibilities:
1. Performs administrative or operational support work at the guidance and instruction of a supervisor.
2. Performs data analysis, data management, or other tasks to improve office efficiency.
3. Performs business activities to streamline operational activities and improve cost efficiencies for the organization.
4. Perform duties as assigned and as needed by management.
