Performs a variety of patient testing and administrative tasks in support of the clinical activities in the UNCHCS.

Position will primarily be evening shift, 8am – 4:30pm, Monday-Friday and rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

1. Immunofluorescent Assays – ANA, ANCA, DsDNA, RMSF, Erhlichia

2. Instrumentation - Hepatitis and HIV (Abbott Alinityi), Infection Disease and Vitamin D (Diasorin Liaison XL), Autoimmune and Allergy (Phadia 250 and 1000), IFA (Quantalyzer / NovaView)

3. Manual testing – LFA, ELISA, agglutination, flocculation

4. Quality control of instruments, reagents, and media

Education Requirements:
● Requires Bachelor's of Science degree. Must meet eligibility requirements upon hire to sit for MT exam within 12 months of hire.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● Must become MLS/MT (ASCP), MT (NCA), or MT (AMT) certified within 12 months of hire.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● No prior experience required.
