Please review the following job description:

Responsible for all lines and types of supplier invoices, excluding insurance premiums and commissions. Providing accurate accounting and reporting of transactions for goods and services, ensuring financial reporting is in full compliance with GAAP accounting principles. Working with lines of business to provide timely payment and/or reconciliation supplier accounts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Maintain and work within all appropriate controls to assure compliance with TIH’s internal control policies and procedures, including but not limited to, security in workflow, handling of checks and other funds, and reporting of financial results.
  • Responsible for timely processing of invoices and reconcilement of all assigned supplier statements to ensure there are no past due invoices/credits. Research and resolve aged items due.
  • Provide prompt and responses and support to TIH employee accounts payable research and support inquiries.
  • Review and audit employee expense reports to ensure expenses submitted for reimbursement are reported in accordance with TIH’s travel & entertainment expense policies.
  • Provide support and documentation as requested, especially as it relates to audit requests.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities and generate reports as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.
  • Assist in special projects as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Knowledge of tax principles related to accounts payable.
  • Familiarity with automated accounts payable systems.
  • Workday experience (preferred).
  • Prior experience in an Accounts Payable role (preferred).

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • None

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, and leaders within TIH as well as appropriate individuals external to TIH.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
