About the Role:
The Graphic Designer is a creative problem-solver who works within the Marketing team but collaborates on company-wide design needs. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, curious, and opportunistic about how design can positively impact an organization.
This role requires a combination of creative flair, knowledge of design tools, and a professional approach to time, costs, and deadlines. You will collaborate with the Marketing, Product, and other internal teams to deliver compelling and cohesive visual materials for our website, sales collateral, presentations, marketing campaigns, and other creative needs across the organization. This position will report to the VP of Marketing.

This role is open to candidates who currently reside within a commutable distance of our headquarter office in Durham, North Carolina, with the expectation of one to two days a week to be spent in the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Ideate and design compelling, branded assets across all channels, including digital, print, email, video, social, and web
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design a range of artifacts/books, workshops, online experiences, brand systems, journey maps, presentations, videos, etc.
  • Generate provocative ideas and insights to lead the production and execution of innovative and enticing branding, resulting in measurable growth in engagement and revenue
  • Design proposals and narratives to understand a client's needs and motivate action with a compelling vision for the future
  • Work closely with strategists and analysts to create immersive experiences for clients, built to yield measurable insights
  • Foster an open culture of design critique and feedback
  • Creative Leadership: Produce high-quality visual content
  • Project Management: Interface with Marketing, Product, Sales, and other departments to meet their visual and promotional needs, managing multiple projects from concept through completion
  • Design Expertise: Hands-on design of key projects, demonstrating expertise in various design aspects from typography to layout to interactive media
  • Innovation: Push the boundaries of digital and traditional design with fresh, innovative ideas. Keep up-to-date with trends in graphic design and technologies, integrating them into our operations and practices
  • Collaboration and Support: Foster a collaborative, supportive, and productive environment within the team
  • Tools Mastery: Evaluate and adopt new tools as needed to enhance productivity and creativity

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of graphic and/or motion design experience in a professional setting, with experience in a software environment
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of design skills across digital and print media
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with other design software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to self-prioritize tasks and manage timelines effectively
  • A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with multiple forms of creative expression including graphic design, motion graphics, video, animation, storyboarding, UI/UX, etc.
  • Must have experience as a designer owning complex projects from start to finish and showing a high level of creativity and organization
  • As this role will primarily collaborate with colleagues and partners based out of the US and the UK, fluency in the English language, both written and spoken, is required
