Primary Purpose of Position | To assist sponsors, administrators, faculty and staff with Post-Award services related to extramural funding for North Carolina Central University. The post-award administrator explains, interprets and implements, university, state, federal regulations related to grant activities. This position explains, interprets, and implements university, state, and federal accounting regulations related to grant activities. This requires a high-level of detail-oriented duties. |
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | In depth knowledge of accounting principles, the Federal Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) , State and University policies and procedures; major federal agencies (NIH, NSF, DOD, DOEd); Federally Mandated Committees and their purpose; excellent project management, oral and writing communication skills; and strong attention to detail, including excellent organization skills; knowledge of Banner and Cayuse system, Must work well with others. |
Minimum Education/Experience | Bachelor’s degree with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or Associate’s degree in Accounting; or Associate’s degree in Business or related discipline with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |

This position calls for entering budget allocations, updating fund accounts, and managing invoices for all private sponsors. |

Currently, there are over 200 active sponsored projects. This is essential to keep up-to-date to make sure the grants are being charged correctly. Salary reconciliation is a large part of OSRP and our office relies heavily on the detail transaction review of this function. It effects all aspects of the sponsored projects. This is an increase in duties |
