Position Overview
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Julius L. Chambers Biomedical/Biotechnology Research Institute (BBRI) is a 40,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art research facility that is dedicated to expanding the University’s research capacity, particularly in the biomedical and biotechnology areas. The BBRI is a broad based multi-disciplinary research and training institute. The mission of the BBRI is to conduct multidisciplinary and inter-institutional research focused on health issues that disproportionately affect minority and underserved groups while providing students with research experiences that will enhance their access to careers in the biomedical sciences.
Primary Purpose of Position
We are seeking a motivated researcher who will be able to collect, manage, and experiment with data and biological samples.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We are seeking a motivated researcher who will be able to collect, manage, and experiment with data and biological samples. They should have evidence of high-quality research, project management skills, and the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan, develop and execute lab-related aspects.

Following EHS safety guidelines.

Will manage operational plans and timelines related to data deliverables.

Support laboratory vendor evaluations and startup, development and review of study protocols and scientific oversight of analytical laboratories.

Independently oversee laboratory specimen management and data management procedures.

Utilize templates and standard guidelines to initiate documents but exercise critical thinking and discretion to tailor documents to study needs.
With minimal oversight, manage multiple project streams, each with their own timelines, objectives and deliverables with minimal oversight.
