| Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The Julius L. Chambers Biomedical/Biotechnology Research Institute (BBRI) is a 40,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art research facility that is dedicated to expanding the University’s research capacity, particularly in the biomedical and biotechnology areas. The BBRI is a broad based multi-disciplinary research and training institute. The mission of the BBRI is to conduct multidisciplinary and inter-institutional research focused on health issues that disproportionately affect minority and underserved groups while providing students with research experiences that will enhance their access to careers in the biomedical sciences. |

| Primary Purpose of Position | This is a new EHRA Time-Limited position. The RCHDR requires a Scientist who will enhance population and behavior research infrastructure at NCCU. |
| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | • Ability to plan, create, program and manage complex statistical computer databases. • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. • Ability to apply a range of standard statistical techniques in support of scientific research studies and/or experiments. • Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports. • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data. • Knowledge of programming logic and codes. • Knowledge of statistical sampling and survey methodology. • Skills in the use of database management, etc. |
| Minimum Education/Experience | Earned master’s degree in biological sciences or related discipline with 3 (three) extensive years of experience administering biomedical and/or health disparities research. Doctorate Preferred |
