Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The School of Business is the university’s third largest academic unit serving approximately 900 students. It offers academic programs at the Graduate and Undergraduate levels supported by the MBA Program, Student Professional Development (SPD) and five Academic Departments. These Departments include Accounting; Business Administration; Computer Information Systems; Decision Sciences, Economics, Finance; and Hospitality and Tourism Administration. |

Primary Purpose of Position | The Director of Student Professional Development will provide strategic planning and management necessary to support successful oversight of student career readiness and placement programs. The director reports directly to the Dean of the School of Business. |
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | The ideal candidate will have experience working in higher education with students, student groups and career counseling. Experience developing programs, working with others on a team based approach. Proficiency in computer systems. |
Minimum Education/Experience | Master’s degree in Business, Counseling, Career Counseling, Student Affairs, Higher Education or related field. Demonstrable experience working with students, student groups, experience in program management and professional development. Excellent interpersonal and communicationskills are a requirement. |
