Job Title: Reporting Analyst Developer (mid or Sr. level possible depending upon experience)

Dept: Project Office

Position Location: Raleigh, NC (must live locally/hybrid role)


Your impact:

As a Reporting Analyst Developer I, you'll have the opportunity to use your IT aptitude, communication skills, detail orientation, and strong analytical talent to develop reports, support our corporate dashboards, and assist the business units with documenting, tracking, and delivering of business intelligence needs from the data warehouse and related ancillary systems. This will include documentation of reporting; data extract and business requirements; tracking requests; and supporting delivery channels as you identify business needs, document them, and develop reports that meet those needs. This role will be the gateway for business units into Business Reporting.

The contributions you can anticipate making:


Managing report requests and requirements by:

Utilizing your technology skills--such as Microsoft Office applications, SQL Reporting Services, Visual Studio, Power BI, visualization tools, source control, database systems, data imports, running exports, merging records, and running reports--to provide our internal customers with the data they need.

Researching and documenting reporting and data extract requirements, assumptions, and calculations.

Ensuring efficient report image storage, creating workflows, maintaining approval processes, and validating reporting and analytics output.

Reviewing existing reports, recommending changes, and improving program development, distribution, and information content.

Migrating current reporting to new solutions, imaging prior reports, and sunsetting systems no longer needed. Providing support and training where appropriate.

Testing and validating system implementations, releases, and enhancements.


Providing Consultation by:

Consulting with management and personnel to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures and processes, problems, and input/output requirements for our team.

Attending Change Management Committee meetings, conducting impact analysis, and ensuring system changes don't impact the integrity of Business Reporting output.

Working directly with and serving as the liaison between business units and Business Reporting.

Encouraging business unit knowledge and use of our systems and tools to meet their reporting needs.


Enhancing communication by:

Building strong Coastal business unit and third-party vendor relationships to support data warehouse, reporting needs, and business intelligence across our organization and utilizing these relationships to facilitate updates and testing.

Collaborating with coworkers to identify the most effective method for report delivery using available tools such as dashboards, portals, hot links, etc.

Managing business unit communication of system outages and changes that will impact usage of Reporting and Analytics systems and solutions.

Three years' experience working with Microsoft SQL and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).

Three years' experience working in a credit union business unit, or relevant/equal work experience.

Three years of experience with the operation, implementation, or support of a data warehouse solution.

Experience translating problems into requirements and ultimately into solutions.

Experience creating report dashboards utilizing the latest technology and creative design concepts.

Experience with financial institution operations and performance measurement preferred.


Education:

Related degree or certification preferred, or comparable experience.
