Role Description
An exciting opportunity to join the Contract Management team sitting within the Global Payment Services (GPS) line of business. The team currently consists of 40+ Contract Managers across EMEA, APAC, and the US with key focuses for providing support on the negotiation of GPS contracts with clients in minimising risk exposure to the Bank; maximising the client experience; minimising cost; minimising cycle times and improving time to revenue; providing industry leading document, negotiation, and advisory support to GPS clients; and documentation simplification and digitisation.
You will be an integral part of the team working closely with a variety of colleagues across the business. Responsibilities
You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements with a focus on account opening, payments, collections, liquidity, multibank, channels, banknote and other treasury products and services but also with the option to work on other GPS contracts.
Negotiating Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and reviewing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Non-Standard contractual issues.
Addressing related credit, risk compliance, legal, operational and business issues by applying experience, industry standards and knowledge of account documentation, cash management, banking/finance products, broader transaction banking industry, and Bank of America policies.
Co-ordinating and facilitating communication between various stakeholders and clients to promptly resolve documentation issues.
Organising and prioritising a large number of competing, complex documentation assignments to meet customer needs within short timeframes will be key to your success.
Facilitating communications among sales, implementation, product, operations, compliance, operational risk, credit risk, legal and client managers to promptly resolve documentation issues.
Managing projects within & outside Contract Management team with an aim to streamline documentation and improve client experience.
Advising and educating internal associates about documentation standards and options, policies and procedures.
Requirements
Experience drafting/negotiating various legal contracts & NDAs. And experience in conducting negotiation effectively in a customer facing role, preferable within the banking and finance industry.
Ability to maintain objectivity in identifying critical legal issues, weighing risks and balancing competing objectives of bank risk with client needs and satisfaction to achieve optimal results.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Law and legal background/experience as a qualified Lawyer or paralegal.
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communications skills, comfortable representing the bank in communications with associates, clients and internal/external counsel at all levels of management.
Broad understanding of treasury products and strong knowledge of corporate documentation, legal terminology and legal structure of various companies.
Ability to develop effective and positive client relationships, adapting to changing needs of our business partners and external customers.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in EMEA.
Excellent project management, organisational and process skillls, able to a handle full workload with tight deadlines and strong attention to detail.
An independent leader who is a collaborative and proactive team player that is able to influence and is a solution driven strategic forward thinker with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
