Process Overview
Wealth Bookkeeping technology functions that support Global Wealth Management for Merrill Lynch and Private Bank. These functions include the books and records, Service Request platforms, customer statements and correspondence, tax reporting and other core processing platforms. Service Request Technology team manages a suite of applications that are used by Financial Advisors and Client Associates at Branch offices, Home offices, Call Centers and Edge business to create and manage service request such as wire transfer, checks etc.
Job Description
A senior Rest AP & Microservices developer to create and maintain Rest APIs using mulesoft technologies and stacks. Successful candidates will be part of the team that works on Service Request Portal an application which are critical in nature for the use of wealth management advisors. Responsibility includes understanding applications and requirements, design and develop solutions, maintain, and document if required. Great opportunity to expand technical and domain expertise and to various aspects of a workflow based financial service request management system.
Responsibilities
- Develops, enhances & maintains APIs that supports wealth management clients.
- Participates in the design, development, and implementation of solutions, often using Mulesoft and Java spring boot technologies.
- Guiding and mentoring junior team members or contractors if required.
- Active engagement with internal team, CIO team and strategic partners.
- Ability to pursue a proactive approach to problem solving within a cohesive team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.

Experience Range*
7 to 11 years
Foundational skills
- Demonstrated Knowledge and experience in building APIs using Mulesoft Anypoint platform.
- Good knowledge and experience in programming and building APIs with Java and JavaSpring boot
- Strong foundational skills and experience in Mule architecture, Mule Anypoint studio, Mule versions 4.0 and above.
- Good understanding and experience in using RAML, JSON, Transformation using DWL & API Lead architecture.
- Good knowledge and experience in Maven, Postman, Munit etc.
- Strong experience in developing solution design and driving design discussions.
- Good understanding of asynchronous messaging frameworks like MQ and interfacing with mainframe systems & DB2.
- Exposure to Continuous Integration Pipeline (Jenkins, bitbucket/GitHub etc.)
- Good SQL Server programming skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written/verbal communication skills.
