Job Description:


Export & Agency Finance (“EAF") APAC Structurer: This individual contributor role is to serve as a Vice President / Director within the BofA Export & Agency Finance team in Singapore or Seoul which sits within the broader Trade and Supply Chain business. The focus will be on Asia Pacific (APAC) deal origination and structuring, utilizing the full suite of BofA partners at Export Credit Agencies, Multi-Lateral Agencies, and Development Finance Institutions to provide risk mitigation or funding for large scale CAPEX projects. The global EAF team is organized in New York, London, Paris and Singapore and is currently looking to expand to meet our clients’ business needs. The candidate will need to have strong marketing and structuring skills to drive origination, execution of new EAF opportunities and manage relationships with APAC based Agencies for global opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Originate, structure, syndicate, and execute EAF related transactions in the APAC region.
  • Help drive comprehensive strategy for APAC EAF and coordinate with the global team to partner for cross-border deal structuring with the global BofA client base.
  • Work with coverage and sales teams across APAC for deal origination and present innovative ideas for new financing opportunities. May sometimes require travel.
  • Present new financing proposals for approvals to internal BofA senior management
  • Coordinate with product partners to deliver joint pitches where appropriate (DCM, leasing, ABS, etc.)
  • Lead deal negotiations with borrowers and work with internal partners to carry deals to financial close.
  • Identify product gaps/opportunities and drive innovative solutions to deliver industry-leading solutions to the broader BofA client base.
  • Work closely with Corporate Banking, Wholesale Credit, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Risk partners to drive profitable, responsible growth while enforcing risk discipline/awareness and product suitability.
  • In partnership with Marketing and Trade product sales execs, increase visibility of the Bank’s EAF business by supporting execution of a comprehensive internal/external marketing campaign.
  • Work with Trade Distribution and DCM partners to syndicate new transactions.
  • Represent the Bank at Trade conferences and on industry working groups.
  • Work with junior colleagues to foster development among the team.
  • Partner with Environmental and Social Governance group to identify priority transactions.

Required Skills:

  • Prior experience in EAF including experience working with Korean ECA’s.
  • Strong presentation and excellent communication skills.
  • Cash flow modelling and pricing analysis.
  • Ability to work cohesively with a broader team globally.
  • Basic orientation with EAF suite of products.
  • Relationship management skills to manage broader client base.
  • Strategic planning and management – ability to create and implement EAF origination initiatives.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to speak Korean is a plus.
